چکیده

Abstract The antibacterial activity of crude extract Nigella sative was studied on the some pathogenic bacteria by using paper disc diffusion. tested strains were: Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and psendomonas aeruginosa . results were showed that produced inhibition zone in all ranging from (20 mm) S.aureus MRSA (12 P.aureginusa Some Volatile Oils determined a high-performance liquid chromatograph(hplc), three extraction methods (aqueous, methanol ethanol) used. following estimated ((Limonene, Anethole, -α-pinene, Estagole) reached(35.61,86.40,41.69,35.61) sequentially While aqueous recorded lowest averages (30.52, 71.42, 32.82, 25.89). In conclusion, current article attitude to assess effectiveness N. sativa front prevalent illnesses caused microorganisms are drug-resistant.

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Antibacterial Activity of Nigella sativa L. Seed Extracts

Most of the bacterial pathogens are resistant to existing synthetic antibacterial agents demanding an increasing effort to seek effective phytochemicals as antibacterial agents against such pathogens. Nigella sativa L. (black cumin) seeds play an important role in folk medicine and some of its major constituents are reported to be pharmacologically active. In this present work, black cumin seed...

Deodorizing Substance in Black Cumin (Nigella sativa L.) Seed Oil.

A deodorizing substance in black cumin (Nigella sativa L.), a spice for curry and vegetable foods in Southwest Asia, was examined. The essential oil prepared from the seeds of this plant exhibited strong deodorizing activity against methyl mercaptan, which is a main factor in oral malodor. After purification with silica gel column chromatography, the active substance in black cumin seed oil was...

Chemical composition of the fixed and volatile oils of Nigella sativa L. from Iran.

The chemical composition of the extracted fixed oil (total fatty acid composition) and volatile oil of Nigella sativa L. seeds grown in Iran were determined by GC and GC/MS. Eight fatty acids (99.5%) and thirty-two compounds (86.7%) have been identified in the fixed and volatile oils, respectively. The main fatty acids of the fixed oil were linoleic acid (55.6%), oleic acid (23.4%), and palmiti...
